The filament is made of microcrystalline wax and is generally darker, more viscous, denser, tackier and more elastic than paraffin waxes. It has a higher molecular weight and melting point. The elastic and adhesive characteristics of microcrystalline waxes are related to the non-straight chain components which they contain. It is commonly used in cosmetic formulations. The product is easy to use and is the perfect addition to any oral hygiene routine. Customer experience and reception: Users love the refillable case, and the strength of the floss. It is high quality, biodegradable, nice and minty. Used in reusable burst product floss dispensers, the product is great and worth buying. However, some customers have complained about the floss breaking apart when flossing between tight teeth. The product is a little bit thicker than other alternatives. However, it shreds very easily and can leave tiny black bits stuck in teeth. It may not be worth using for the hassle of cleaning up afterwards. It is good and sturdy for 2-3x day flossing but doesn’t work for teeth that are tighter.
