How do I select the best cutting length for my material thickness?
إجابه: You always want to use the shortest router bit possible to reduce run-out. The longer the bit, the more run-out. However, the cutting length should be sufficient to clear the material - you never want to rub on the shank. Most router bits are available in standard lengths to accommodate 3/4 material and up. If you had a choice between 2 bits with different cut lengths but the same overall length, it wouldn't matter which you used but the longer cut length will be more expensive. -

إجابه: It is generally better to use shorter router bits on thinner material to reduce run-out. However, if the longer bit has the same overall length but a longer cut length, it can be used without any issues. -
