Unlike cotton threads, Isacord is synthetic, which means it is less affected by environmental factors and retains its color and sheen over time. It's especially advantageous for projects that require durability, such as activewear or outdoor apparel.

What needle size should I use with Isacord Embroidery Thread?

For Isacord Embroidery Thread, a needle size of 75/11 or 80/12 is generally recommended, depending on the density of your design. A finer needle size helps create precise stitches, especially in detailed patterns, while a slightly larger one is better for heavier fabrics. Choosing the right needle ensures optimal performance and enhances stitch quality, which is crucial for achieving professional-looking results in your embroidery projects.

What types of projects are ideal for Isacord Embroidery Thread?

Isacord Embroidery Thread is suitable for a range of projects, from creating custom apparel like jackets and hats to decorative items like table linens and wall hangings. Its durability also makes it perfect for logo digitizing and corporate branding on uniforms. Crafters appreciate using Isacord for quilting as well, where thread consistency and vibrant color play a significant role in the final product's appeal.

Is Isacord Embroidery Thread colorfast?

Yes, Isacord Embroidery Thread is colorfast and resistant to fading, making it suitable for washable items. This means that your embroidery will maintain its vibrant colors even after frequent wash cycles. This property is particularly important for garments and home textiles that undergo regular cleaning, ensuring that the visual appeal of your work lasts longer without compromising quality.

What does the number 0015 mean in Isacord thread designation?
