While the gauge is waterproof, it is not recommended for outdoor or marine use where it could be exposed to rain. It has been designed to function with flywheels having 50 to 304 teeth. These tachometers are suitable replacements for Caterpillar TA3116 diesels with flywheel pickup. These gauges are for negative ground or isolated electrical systems and have a power input of 11-28VDC.
