The variable power knob is a nice feature, and it sounds great through headphones. However, some customers have mentioned that this amp is not suitable for playing with a Gibson Les Paul. It is very noisy to the point of being unusable. There is a line mode for a keyboard or acoustic guitar, but it also sounds good with an electric guitar. The cleans are lacking, and the Vox AC30 sounds are curiously so-so.
