What are Black Self Adhesive Felt Bumpers used for?

Black Self Adhesive Felt Bumpers serve as protective pads for various surfaces, reducing friction and noise when items are moved. They are ideal for use on furniture, appliances, and electronics to prevent scratches and damage to both the items and the surfaces they contact. In practical terms, placing these bumpers under table legs can stop them from scratching hardwood floors while also dampening the sound of movement.

How thick are the Black Self Adhesive Felt Bumpers?

These bumpers are 18mm thick, providing substantial cushioning and support. This thickness helps absorb impacts and vibrations, making them suitable for both light and heavy furniture pieces. For instance, using a thicker bumper under a heavy coffee table can significantly minimize noise and protect both the table and the floor from wear and tear.

What size are these bumpers, and how do I choose the right size?

The bumpers are 12mm in diameter, making them versatile for various applications. When selecting the right size, consider the weight of the object and the surface it will rest on. Larger surfaces may require multiple bumpers to spread the weight efficiently. For example, placing several bumpers under a large bookshelf can enhance stability and prevent tipping.

Are these bumpers suitable for outdoor use?

While primarily designed for indoor use, the Black Self Adhesive Felt Bumpers can be used outdoors in dry conditions. They can help protect outdoor furniture, but exposure to moisture may diminish their adhesive quality over time. For patio furniture, consider using these bumpers to prevent sliding on tiled surfaces, ensuring a smooth experience when moving chairs.

How do I install these self-adhesive bumpers?

Installation is simple: just peel off the backing and stick the bumper to a clean, dry surface. Ensure that the surface is free from dust or oils to promote better adhesion. For maximum effectiveness, press firmly after application. This makes them a quick solution for protecting surfaces in your home, like adhering bumpers to the bottom of cabinet doors to eliminate noise when they close.

Will these bumpers leave residue on surfaces after removal?

Most users find that the self-adhesive material used in these bumpers does not leave a sticky residue upon removal if taken off carefully. However, it's always advisable to test on a small, inconspicuous area first. In practical use, applying bumpers on your furniture pieces can enhance their longevity without leaving any marks, making them practical for renters or those concerned with maintaining furniture appearance.

Can these bumpers be used on glass surfaces?

Yes, these bumpers can be used on glass surfaces to prevent slipping or scratching. Their felt material provides a soft cushion that protects glass items while stable enough to hold them in place. For instance, placing bumpers under a glass tabletop can help retain its position on its supporting structure without damage.

How many bumpers are included in the pack?

Each pack contains 48 bumpers, making it highly convenient for multiple applications around the home or office. With such quantity, you can equip various furniture pieces, appliances, or even use spare bumpers for future needs. This is particularly useful for larger setups, like equipping an entire dining room set to ensure a unified aesthetic while protecting floors.

What color are these bumpers, and will they blend in with my decor?

These bumpers come in a versatile black color, which typically blends well with most modern decor. Their unobtrusive look allows them to complement darker furniture styles while remaining discreet. For example, using black bumpers under a black coffee table can maintain a cohesive look without drawing attention away from your carefully curated decor.

888 Corp Furniture Pads 8420-48 Editorial Review

The Black Self Adhesive Felt Bumpers are advertised as a great value with 48 pads per order. However, the reviews suggest that they may not be worth the low price. Customers have reported that the adhesive is not strong enough to keep the pads in place on chair legs, and they fall off within days of being applied. Some customers have found alternative uses for the pads and have had success sticking them to cabinets or small tables. It seems that these bumpers are not ideal for chairs with sliding movements.
