Nanoskin Polishing & Rubbing Compounds Editorial Review

The Nanoskin AS-019 AutoScrub Fine Grade Sponge has received a largely positive reception among users, praised for its effectiveness in decontaminating automotive paint surfaces with ease. Customers have noted significant time savings compared to traditional clay bars, with many reporting that they can detail an entire car in as little as 15 minutes, as opposed to the lengthy 3-4 hours typically required with clay. This product not only tackles overspray but also removes contaminants that standard washing may miss effectively, transforming rough paint surfaces into smooth finishes. One key advantage highlighted by users is the sponge’s ability to be rinsed and reused after dropping, eliminating the frustration associated with traditional clay bars which must be discarded once they hit the ground. Customers appreciate the ergonomic feel of the sponge and its convenience, making the detailing process more enjoyable. However, some users noted that the AutoScrub sometimes requires more passes to achieve the same level of cleanliness as a clay bar, albeit without the tedious kneading and reworking necessary with clay. While there are some caveats concerning proper usage—such as needing to break in a new sponge on glass for two minutes and applying sufficient lubricant to minimize marring—users have expressed satisfaction overall. The sponge is deemed less likely to inadvertently scratch the surface compared to clay bars, provided the user follows recommended protocols. In summary, the Nanoskin AutoScrub represents a significant advancement in car detailing technology, delivering convenience and time efficiency while Consistently achieving a high-quality finish. **
