- Introducing: Inspector Visco Solid Air An Italian murder ClassicSet in the South of Italy in the 1980s, Inspector Visco is an honest Italian cop swimming against a tide of corruption and criminality. You are either a fan of Inspector Visco, or you haven’t read any of the books yet. Every novel is an addictive mix that is set in the beautiful but dangerous South of Italy. Visco is not like your average police detective but is as much of an enigma as the south itself. Colourful, tough, dry-witted and occasionally crooked, but at the end of the day, a hen-pecked Italian husband and fashion guru.A headless corpse and a mysterious suicide involves Visco in a murder enquiry that is not as clear-cut as it first seems. The murders lead Visco and his team into the world of the Mafia, an Italian crack military regiment and the secret service.Solid Air is part of the Inspector Visco series. What people are sayingChester MailDeliciously Italian and a real page turner set in the sun.Crime Readers GazettePolice procedural at its very best. I dare you to guess the murderer.GoodreadsAny of the stories by English author John Tallon Jones are a pleasure to read, and the Visco series give you a fly-on-the-wall insight, on life in the South of Italy and the shadow of the mafia.
