Oatey Drain Strainers 43419 Editorial Review
**** The product reviewed is positioned as a practical solution for sealing a closet flange during bathroom remodels, offering both functionality and ease of use. Customers have found it to be a reliable tool that effectively seals the flange, preventing odors from escaping during renovations. Many users praised its durability and reusability, citing that it fits well without interfering with the installation of finished flooring. The product is described as a high-quality alternative to makeshift solutions like stuffing rags into the flange. Several users noted the product's robustness, commenting on its ability to withstand impacts without breaking. For example, one customer reported successfully using a hammer chisel on it without any damage. This reinforces the perception of the product as strong and flexible, likely due to its nylon composition. However, there are some mixed reviews, particularly relating to the effectiveness of the cellulose foam at the bottom of the product, which some customers felt did not adequately block odors. While most reviewers acknowledged its effectiveness in temporary sealing, one experienced an issue with the flange itself being weak, leading to a failure of the product despite its intended use. This highlights the importance of ensuring that the underlying flange structure is sound for optimal performance. Overall, the product has received a positive reception as a clever and efficient solution for sealing flanges during home renovations, with many expressing satisfaction and indicating they would recommend it to others. Those looking for a reliable way to secure the flange while awaiting new installations should find this product to be a beneficial addition to their remodeling toolkit. **
